ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid confirmed that construction has commenced on the much anticipated Leh expressway project on the executive orders of PM Imran Khan.

This new 17-Kilometre road will improve traffic flow between Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The work is expected to be completed over the next two years and the construction will carry out on both sides of the Leh Nullah.

The project is costing an estimated Rs.65 billion and will reduce the peak time congestion between the twin cities.
