Vice President of Lahore Development Authority S.M Imran announced that the Prime Minister will inaugurate the LDA construction scheme that aims to build 4,000 apartments in the neighborhood of Halloki.

“The apartment would cost Rs. 2.7 million and the allottee would have to pay mere Rs. 270,000 initially. A subsidy from NAPHDA worth Rs. 300,000 would make the initial payment of Rs. 570,000,” SM Imran further explained.

The core idea behind the construction of these apartments is to provide affordable housing at a reasonable cost. The collaboration between LDA and Naya Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) will be fully funded by banks in accordance with the State Bank of Pakistan policies, with an installment plan spread out over 10-20 years.

The apartment master plan will consist of:

  • 2 rooms with attached and detached bathroom
  • Total size: 650 square feet in size
  • Kitchen
  • Small lounge
  • Balcony

And each apartment building will have its own walkway, park, and other modern amenities.

“There would be no installment during the first 18 months of construction work,” concluded the Vice President of LDA.
