The delegate of the Turkish company Hashim Group visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry and showed a keen interest to establish joint ventures in Pakistan. On Friday a meeting was held at the Legend Hotel Islamabad with the president of  Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Mr Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan. 

Emir Han Demir Head of Operations said that Pakistan’s economy has great potential for growth. The Hashim Group has business interests in many fields in Turkey such as real estate, mining, tourism, car designing and education and they are now exploring the Pakistani market for investment.

They want to bring construction technology and investment in Pakistan to capitalize on business opportunities. Ultimately, they are looking at the prospects of investing in Pakistan’s sectors such as education, mining and much more.

The President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mr Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan speaking at the occasion said that Pakistan and Turkey have exemplary strong relations. They should be transformed into progressing trade relations as the existing volume of bilateral trade between the two countries was not reflective of their actual potential. He also added that both Turkey and Pakistan have shown interest to sign an agreement to provide dual nationality to their citizens. He also added that the FTA should be finalized as soon as possible as it will benefit bilateral trade.

Mr Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan further said that ICCI would fully cooperate with Turkish investors in finding the right partners in Pakistan. They are actively working to bring foreigner investors in the country 

Abdul Rehman Khan Vice President ICCI, Malik Jahangir Jan, Country Director Pakistan, Hashim Group, Tasleem Khan Legend Hotel Islamabad and M. Aslam Khokhar Executive Member ICCI were also present at the occasion.
